The Safety Coordinator is responsible for administering the CSC’s Ramp and Employee Safety Program. This role ensures a safe and compliant workplace by analyzing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures. Responsibilities include designing safe workspaces, reducing workplace injuries, conducting inspections of equipment and vehicles, and ensuring all practices align with state and federal safety regulations. The position plays a key role in fostering a strong safety culture and maintaining a safe environment for all employees.
Serve as the Process Owner for Ramp and Employee Safety.
Lead all safety committee functions and facilitate safety committee meetings.
Partner with insurance providers and government agencies during safety inspections.
Collaborate with employees and management at all levels to ensure strict adherence to safety SOPs.
Conduct regular safety and health inspections across all departments.
Perform monthly facility audits to assess compliance and identify risks.
Ensure all required safety training and certifications are delivered to employees.
Investigate workplace accidents and injuries, documenting findings and corrective actions.
Recommend and implement preventive measures for unsafe conditions, materials, or equipment.
Deliver safety training sessions to employees to reinforce best practices and regulatory compliance.
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field preferred).
3–5 years of experience in employee or workplace safety.
Strong knowledge of DOT safety regulations and OSHA compliance standards.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong analytical, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to identify risks proactively.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including AM/PM hours and weekends and holidays.
