PLM Architecture Professional
Location: Warton, 2 or 3 days on site per week
Contract: 9 months

Rate: 53.73 p/h PAYE (61.54 p/h inc. holiday rate) OR 72.54 p/h Umbrella

Air Engineering is 4 years into a Digital Engineering Programme (DEP) which will radically transform and align how Engineering is carried out across Air.
To do this the DEP requires knowledge and expertise in new and developing areas of Engineering, which are not available (or accessible) to the programme. The Project management of these Engineering capabilities must be done using Siemens Toolsets and knowledge of the Siemens suite of PM tools is essential. As Siemens delivery team are primarily Indian based good communication skills in Hindi are critical at this stage of delivery.
Therefore external skills are essential in identifying/ exploring/ developing and embedding new capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
The role will contain, but will not be limited to, the following:
- Lead the design and implementation of Teamcenter architecture, including Database Server, Application Server, Web Server, Dispatcher, and related components.
- Define PLM system architecture aligned with enterprise digital transformation goals.
- Work with TOGAF, DODAF, ArchiMate or similar architecture frameworks to build enterprise PLM roadmaps.
- Enable and implement end-to-end Digital Thread / Digital Twin solutions across engineering, manufacturing, and service domains.
- Develop and consume web services and SOA APIs for downstream and upstream system integrations.
- Develop custom Teamcenter server-side extensions, handlers, and business logic using Java, C++, or C.
- Implement ITK (C/C++) customizations for data manipulation, business rules, and server-side logic.
- Customize and configure Active Workspace (AW) including UI modifications, custom widgets, and client-side extensions.
- Utilize Teamcenter SOA services to create and deploy custom services and integrations.
Key Skillset
Essential:
- Deep technical understanding of PLM Ecosystems with the ability to translate business needs into scalable, future ready, PLM Architectures
- Extensive toolset knowledge including BMIDE
- Expert knowledge of HCL Connector
Desirable:
- Relationships with Intelizign & HCL
- Good communication skills in English and Indian dialects (primarily Hindi ) -as an added advantage when dealing with Siemens Global Delivery Team
