Job Description:

Director of Global Compensation

This position can be worked as a hybrid work model out of any of StandardAero’s US facilities.

StandardAero is a newly public, rapidly growing Aerospace company. As we transition into this exciting new phase, we are building a world-class People team that will support and scale our global workforce.

We’re looking for a strategic and execution-focused Director of Global Compensation to lead the design, implementation, and governance of our compensation programs across all geographies. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to the VP of Total Rewards, with the opportunity to shape the future of how we reward, retain, and motivate top talent.

 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of the global compensation strategy aligned with our business goals, market positioning, and equity philosophy as a newly public company.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and clear communicator to senior leadership, providing insight and education on compensation strategies, pay equity, and market trends.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, Talent Acquisition, and HR Business Partners to ensure compensation practices support workforce planning, compliance, and internal equity.
  • Manage executive compensation programs, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term equity plans, with a focus on public company compliance and disclosure (e.g., CD&A, proxy preparation).
  • Oversee global compensation benchmarking, job architecture, market pricing, and compensation survey participation.
  • Provide strategic guidance on compensation for international expansion, M&A activities, and evolving labor markets.
  • Establish scalable compensation governance frameworks and ensure regulatory compliance in all operating regions.
  • Lead the design and execution of the annual compensation planning cycle, including merit increases, bonus planning, and equity refreshes.
  • Educate senior leaders on compensation philosophy and practices to ensure understanding and alignment across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor a small team of compensation professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, data integrity, and continuous improvement.

 Qualifications

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in compensation, including global and executive compensation.
  • Experience in a public company environment
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in compensation tools and platforms
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders and operate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
  • Exceptional communication, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Bachelors degree in HR, Finance, Business, or related field

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Experience in a newly public company, or IPO experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of equity compensation (RSUs, options), SEC regulations, and executive pay disclosure preferred.
  • MBA or CCP certification considered an asset.
