Automation Controls Technician (4th Shift)Southern New Hampshire (South of Lincoln / Franconia Notch)
Schedule: Friday – Sunday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Pay Range: $22.89 – $47.78/hour + 12 shift differential
Job OverviewWe are seeking a hands-on Automation Controls Technician to support the build and development of custom automation equipment. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical or machining experience who enjoys troubleshooting and working with innovative industrial systems.
You’ll collaborate closely with engineers and fellow technicians to assemble, wire, test, and troubleshoot a wide range of automated equipment including robotics, laser systems, feeders, and precision machinery.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, wire, plumb, and test custom automation equipment
Interpret technical drawings, SolidWorks models, and specifications
Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems
Align, fit, and assemble machine components and mechanisms
Organize incoming materials and support project workflow
Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes, mills, and welding equipment
Verify dimensions, tolerances, and proper functionality of equipment
Assist in startup and debugging of automation systems
Qualifications5+ years of experience in a mechanical, manufacturing, or machining environment
Strong hands-on mechanical skills (automotive, farm, or construction experience a plus)
Experience with fabrication and machining equipment
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and prints
Basic electrical knowledge (sensors, wiring, VFDs) preferred
Willingness to learn automation technologies such as PLCs and robotics

Pay Details: $22.89 to $47.78 per hour
