Project Manager
29.89 - 40 per hour
One of our prestigious Aerospace clients are currently recruiting for a project manager to support and manage changes across a complex production line. You will ensure that all changes in the Supply chain are integrated and robustly managed, in order to secure the continuity in the flow of parts required by the plants. We need a candidate with strong project management experience within a large production organisation and knowledge of the commercial Aerospace industry.
The role is being offered on an initial 6-month basis, expected to work 35 hours per week on site in Broughton. We can offer a rate of 29.89 per hour PAYE or 40 per hour umbrella Inside IR35.
Responsibilities
- Develop a roadmap to sit alongside the Procurement Commodity strategy.
- Contact suppliers to communicate the Programme/VSMStrategy - supporting the Procurement teams enforcing its implementation.
- Monitor the supply chain projects to securea robust implementation through the relevant methodology.
- Identify and mitigate part of the risk related to suppliers’ claims as well as the management of those claims through Programme/Finance.
- Monitor supply chain performance and supporting the resolution of supply chain industrial issues.
- Driving the identification and collation of all impacts related to Suppliers’ non-performance.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the commercial aerospace industry.
- Strong project management experience within a large organisation with a complex production and supply chain relationship.
- Supplier management experience within the engineering industry.
- Experience with MRP planning systems.
- Experience in industrial and quality management systems.
- Communication skills, able to manage internal production teams as well as negotiate with external suppliers.
Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be BPSS cleared or eligible for this level of clearance before starting on site
