This role will be dedicated to the AC Media business, which offers spaneting inventory to third party brands across a variety of channels, including AC’s unique in-flight entertainment channel.  This role serves to support audience development and in particular, post campaign measurement.

The Manager, AC Media Analytics will help define and will deliver best-in-class reporting, measurement, and insights for vendors.  They will interface with sales and spaneting team to understand customer needs and expectations, support account team with all data-related requests, coordinating and identifying data, tech and analytic requirements in collaboration with the Data Scientist AC Media, to deliver on business requirements.

The incumbent is a critical thinker with experience in the exploration and application of data analysis and statistical techniques to large data sets and in their application to CRM/digital spaneting to be able to demonstrate value of AC channels and audiences to AC Media clients through the delivery of campaign reports and tests.  The desired candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment interfacing with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

    Responsible for overall project management alongside AC Media Business teams including timelines, managing expectations and providing cross-functional stakeholder updates and getting alignment on key decision points. Identify, manage, analyze, and interpret data providing meaningful and actionable insights that tie directly to business objectives. Be a thought leader: Lead proposals and support the execution of new sources of value creation, process improvement and business performance through the applied use of data and analytics practices. Be the recognized go-to expert in the understanding and application of Air Canada’s AC Media data assets.Build data requirements/key metrics/tests projections and measurement plans alongside AC Media business teams that accurately measure the success of initiatives, execute these plans and present effectively to key stakeholders.Lead alongside Data Scientist to develop comprehensive reporting and insights for Retail Media Network customers including both audience profiling and campaign performanceDevelop a deep understanding of data assets and identify opportunities for improvements and development Demonstrate initiative and a strong commitment to achieving meaningful results and act on opportunities to create value  Make recommendations for testing based on performance analysis and consumer insightsIn collaboration with Media sales and ops teams, oversee to ensure necessary tagging and data availabilityCollect, clean and synthesize live test data and derive user insightsEstablish strong collaborative relationships across the team to leverage and maximize analytic capabilities, and our business partners to drive opportunities for improvements and develop our capabilities.Ensure best practices around test/control strategies are adhered to. Demonstrates initiative, a strong commitment to achieving meaningful results, and acts on opportunities to create value. Conduct ad-hoc analysis by pulling data from multiple sources including historical performance, trends, and benchspaning
Qualifications

    University degree or equivalent experience (5+ years) in a quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, applied statistics, BI, econometrics, computer science, operations research, data/digital spaneting etc.) is requiredExcellent knowledge and experience with SQL and statisticsFluency in at least one of the following languages R or Python and familiar with cloud environments an assetProficiency in data visualization tools, e.g., PowerBI; knowledge of database structures and data mining techniquesExperience working in digital spaneting environment, e.g., with ad servers, web analytics, search bid  management etc. Familiarity with CRM digital spaneting principles and practices such as funnel optimization UX, SEO & Landing Page optimizationKnowledge of key digital spaneting KPIs (CPC/CACs etc.)Strong interpersonal written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interpret and present results professionallyExceptionally organized and a self-starter who can work independently and in a team environmentA high aptitude for problem solving and a natural interest in understanding and explaining consumer behavior / business performanceStrong attention to detailDemonstrate punctuality and dependability to support overall team success in a fast-paced environment.
