Tasks
The Handling Manager is responsible for:
- Management of all A/C and WH handling processes at the stations in the geographical area in compliance with all relevant directives (safety, security, legal requirements, processes, quality, maintenance of qualifications and skills, etc)
- Achievement of financial and non-financial handling KPIs, including performance analysis and definition of corrective action in case of deviations
- Operational steering of own staff as well as activity of service providers
- Management of necessary interfaces with airport, customs and other relevant external authorities
- Participation in negotiations of contracts/agreements for aircraft handling like SGHA etc
- Ensures quality and a SMS reporting on local level btw station and GHA as well as to Headquarter
* Participate in other duties as assigned
Requirements
To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelors degree desirable
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the logistics or airline industry required
- Adequate knowledge of LH Cargo’s processes & organization. Alternatively, good knowledge of comparable international airline/ logistics industry structures required
- English language required
- Advanced professional operations know how & skills in an airline or logistics environment required
- Knowledge of MS office, Excel, Word & PowerPoint as user
- Responsible of employees
- Responsible of budget: cost & revenue
- Willingness to travel
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Must possess a legal work permit in Hong Kong
- Constant time pressure
