Its important for us to give passengers a smooth pre-flight experience👏 We are responsible for ensuring 24/7 safe, secure, and efficient network-wide operations on the ground through adherence to various procedures and regulations as well as training. As a Duty Manager in Ground Operations, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring seamless airport operations. From managing ground handling agents to resolving operational challenges, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service to our passengers while ensuring safety and efficiency. Main Responsibilities:

Operations Support

  • Responsible for day-to-day operational issues and ensure that aircraft dispatches on time.
  • Ensure Scoot’s service providers e.g. ground handlers / airport stakeholders deliver targeted performance outcomes in all operational areas without compromising on safety and security.
  • Ensure efficient ground operations e.g. check-in/boarding/ transfer and baggage handling.
  • Ensure Scoot’s service providers e.g. ground handlers / airport stakeholders comply with the standards and procedures including the consistent delivery of Scoot’s products and services by conducting regular audits.
  • Provide feedback to internal department(s) on any lapse or gap of standards and procedures.
  • Handle delays and flight disruptions to ensure passengers are least inconvenienced, minimize complaints and increase number of compliments.
  • Liaise and maintain effective communication with all internal / external departments during operational situations to deliver the best outcome for aircraft utilization and passenger management.
  • Analyse delay encountered on shift to determine the root cause and prevent recurrence.

Operational Administration

  • Conduct operational investigation (Document Irregularities, NTL Handling, Baggage Mishandling, Customer Complains etc.) not limited to other related matters during shifts to determine root cause and preventive measures.
  • Follow up on assigned tasks and provide prompt updates in a timely manner according to the specified timeline e.g. tracking, monitoring and updating document irregularities, baggage mishandlings, crew voyage reports, tech crew reports, staff travel matters, customer complains – Sales force etc.

Project Engagement

  • Management of projects and ensure goals are achieved in a timely and effective manner.
  • Plan and implement the digitalisation journey / technology for passengers to pursue new norms of travel e.g. contactless travel
  • Provide timely updates to the team where required.

Other Duties

  • Perform any other duties as requested and assigned by Head Office, Section Manager, Manager, Senior Manager.

Requirement

  • Willing to work 12 hour rotating shifts, rotating days off, weekends and public holidays.
  • Diploma / Degree holder, preferably in aviation or travel related management.
  • Candidate with 1-3 years of work experience preferred.
  • Candidate with prior work experience in and operational setting preferred.
  • Singaporeans/SPR only

Desirable Traits

  • Multi-tasking, ability to perform well under stress and high-pressure situations.
  • Highly visible and comfortable to be the front face of the airline during flight disruptions.
  • Resourceful, tactful and has good communication skill in managing customers and situation on the front-line
  • Self-motivated and driven with problem solving mind-set.
