Tasks
Your main tasks include, among others:
- Implementation of central LHT Group Customs Compliance Standards
- Assurance of compliance with national legal requirements concerning customs / international trade for logistics and material processes
- Focal point of contact for all customs issues and escalations within the organization such as but not limited to material classification (e.g. national HS coding) and clarification of stopped transactions by customs
- Definition and supervision of customs relevant processes, definition of requirements for IT systems and documentation
- Identification of and application for relevant customs authorizations and simplifications
- Monitoring of customs activities and conducting risk management
- Keeping up to date with procedures and process developments
* All other duties as assigned or required

Requirements
The ideal Customs Manager must fulfill the following requirements:
- High school diploma/GED required
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree desirable
- At least 1 year of experience required
- Fluency in English language required
- MS Office and ACE at expert level
- Excellent assimilation
- Excellent change management
- Excellent customer service
- Excellent corporate awareness
- Excellent negotiating skills
- Willingness to travel
- Manage constant time pressure
- Manage high stress levels
- Must possess a legal work permit in the U.S.
