Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an ABMD/Avenger Program Manager (Level K) to join our Integrated Air & Missile Defense (IAMD) team in Huntsville, Alabama.
Position Responsibilities:
- Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
- Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
- Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
- Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
- Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan
- Manages, develops and motivates employees
This position is expected to be 100 onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position is for 1st shift.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
- More than 3 years of experience in project management including interfacing with suppliers, partnerships, and/or customers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- More than 3 years of experience with Program Management on defense related programs
- Experience with Missile Defense Agency and/or US Army Air Defense programs
Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years related work experience, 9 years related work experience, etc.)
Relocation:

Travel:
Position may require travel up to 15 of the time.
