Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is hiring a 787 Flightline Operations Manager (Level K) located in San Antonio, Texas. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager to oversee our flightline operations and aircraft deliveries.
In this pivotal role, you are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient handling of aircraft during the delivery process, while leading a dedicated team committed to excellence. You will implement and promote safety protocols as a top priority, fostering a culture of safety and compliance throughout the operations.
Additionally, you will leverage Lean principles to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and reduce waste, ensuring our operations not only meet but exceed industry standards.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads & supports success of team activities to ensure air vehicles are completed & pass certification for airworthiness
Team activities include: oversee final component installation; systems operation functional testing, modification, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair; preflight and post-flight checks; release for flight; and preparation for delivery
Interfaces & collaborates with flight crews, engineering, management, suppliers, and customers to meet product requirements and ensure customer acceptance
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and employees
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Manages, leads, develops and motivates employees
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment
3+ years of experience working in manufacturing or flightline operations
1+ years of experience working in cross-functional teams
1+ years of experience in a leadership or management role
Willingness and ability to work any shift based on business needs
Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Demonstrate commitment to safety and Incident & Injury Free principles
Bachelor’s degree or higher
3+ years of experience in lean processes and initiatives
3+ years of experience leading initiatives and projects to meet business objectives
Experience influencing positive change
Experience working with/leading contracted service providers

Summary pay range: $112,500 - 137,500
