Job Title: Quality InspectorJob Description
We are seeking a Aircraft Quality Inspector for our Newport News, VA location. The role involves working with Gulfstream 4, Gulfstream 4SP, Learjet 31, 35, and 36 aircraft for the US Navy. These aircraft are used to simulate various airborne threats, aiding in the training and evaluation of shipboard and aircraft squadron weapon systems, operators, and aircrew in countering potential enemy Electronic Warfare and Electronic Attack operations.
Responsibilities
- Read drawings and work instructions to comprehend quality expectations for company products and services.
- Perform receiving inspections for materials and parts provided by vendors, ensuring proper execution of inspections and paperwork.
- Conduct final inspections for materials, parts, products, and services produced by the company.
- Perform periodic internal and external quality audits as assigned and scheduled by the quality manager.
- Monitor equipment and tooling usage to ensure safety and current calibration as required.
- Interface with program stakeholders to ensure customer requirements and specifications are met from start through delivery.
- Provide Certificates of Conformity, Return To Service, and other approvals as required.
- Establish Discrepant Material Reports for materials with damage, missing parts, or paperwork issues discovered during inspection.
- Maintain approved vendor data and assist the quality manager in collecting data for quality metrics and improvement.
- Process Product Nonconformity Reports as assigned by the quality manager.
- Contribute to quality processes and procedures with a commitment to department improvement.
Essential Skills- 3+ years of experience as a quality inspector.
- A&P license required.
- Flexibility to work any shift.
- High school diploma.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Experience as an ISO 9001: 2015 Inspector.
- Experience as an ISO 9001: 2015 Auditor.
- Inspection Authorization.

Work Environment
Work in a hangar environment with a busy 24/7 operation, running two long shifts: 6 AM to 5 PM and 5 PM to 6 AM. Collaborate with a team of 75 direct employees and 50 contractors on-site.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $52.00/hr.
