Job Description:


The
Quality Assurance Auditor
is responsible for accomplishing the audit function of the Continuing Analysis and Surveillance System (CASS). Conducts thorough examinations and evaluations of the total maintenance system to ensure compliance with the Western Global Airlines maintenance procedures and Federal Aviation Regulations.


Essential Duties:

  • Monitors the accuracy and efficiency of data collection procedures.
  • Maintains a file and data system to store and archive data collected and used in the CASS program.
  • Ensures all required reports are compiled and disseminated within the requirements of the CASS program.
  • Maintains the existing CASS Manual and informs the Vice President of Quality Control of any revisions that may be required to ensure the effective implementation of the program throughout the organization.
  • Compiles and disseminates system history reports as required to support the correction of chronic discrepancies.
  • Analyzes collected data and generates action item proposals based on adverse trends.
  • Supports the development of corrective/preventive actions.
  • Creates the monthly MISR and the Utilization reports for the CASS report.
  • Performs Tech Log audits in the ARMS database.
  • Audits original log pages received at headquarters and maintains the monthly log page discrepancy reports for CASS.
  • Performs all auditing functions as required by the Director of Quality Control.
  • Takes action and reports in accordance with SAFE Manual, as deemed necessary, to resolve any problems or situations that may compromise safety, security or compliance.
  • Conducts risk assessment and accepts risk. Promotes safety, facilitates hazard identification, ensures effectiveness of risk controls, advises Director on performance of SMS and needs for improvement, facilitates or conducts risk assessment, conducts Safety Risk Management, and facilitates safety assurance.
  • Directs the Quality Assurance work force in a safe and efficient manner to meet the maintenance requirements of WGA.
  • Accomplishes internal audits of the maintenance division, including facilities, records, and equipment, to validate compliance with defined policies, procedures, and safety practices.
  • Conducts audit functions in accordance with defined checklists, forms, and schedules.
  • Accomplishes initial qualifying and recurrent audits of contracted maintenance providers, de-ice vendors, fuel vendors and parts suppliers per the standards defined within the appropriate WGA manuals, both on a regular basis and selectively, based on reliability findings of questionable performance.
  • Addresses all audit findings through verbal and written communication to initiate action.
  • Reviews and recommends revisions or additions to the defined checklists, forms, and schedules utilized in the audit activities.
  • Ensures key Western Global Airlines management personnel are aware of any and all potentially serious issues.
  • Identifies and reports to management using defined reporting procedures potential regulatory compliance and safety violations in maintenance, engineering, ground operations, and flight procedures/processes.
  • Monitors/audits various reports and processes to ensure AD compliance is maintained on all Western Global Airlines aircraft.
  • Fosters an environment in which quality, safety, and compliance is everyone’s concern.
  • Performs all other duties assigned or delegated by the Quality Assurance Specialist.
  • Prepares the Western Global Airlines CASP Report to be presented at the Continuous Analysis System Review Board (CASRB) meeting.

Job Requirements:


  • Must possess a valid Airframe and Power Plant FAA Airman’s Certificate.
  • 3 Years of Part 121 experience.
  • 1+ years’ experience as a QA auditor.
  • CASE level II preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
