What You Will Learn:
- Core principles of operating and maintaining various plant and equipment.
- Industry health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Maintenance and operational practices, processes and procedures covering a range of plant and equipment.
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation and specifications.
Your Responsibilities:
- Operate, inspect, and maintain machines and equipment to ensure safe and efficient performance.
- Identify and rectify faults under supervision.
- Follow health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
- Prepare and restore work areas before and after maintenance tasks.
- Communicate clearly with team members and stakeholders to confirm work completion.
- Attend college and maintain good progress with studies submitting assignments and coursework in good time.
Ideally, You Will Have:
- A keen interest in engineering and maintenance.
- A hands-on approach with a genuine interest in fixing things and problem-solving.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions precisely.
- GCSE grade 4-9 or an equivalent qualification in Maths, English and a engineering or technology-based subject is preferred.
