Job Description

Perform a variety of detailed, functional, and operational inspections in complex mechanical and electrical aircraft systems, components, and parts of production, modification, repair, or experimental aircraft in accordance with company procedures and FAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Inspect assemblies, joining of sub-assemblies into major structures, and complete aircraft for correctness of assembly, according to blueprints, drawings, and production and inspection files.
• Examine installation of engines, mechanical equipment, plumbing lines, tanks, wiring shields, and brackets in sub-assemblies to verify location and fastening, and to determine surface defects such as scratches and cracks.
• Examine fit and seal of windows and doors, and installation of bulkheads, seats, instrument and decorative panels.
• Perform daily inspections and release aircraft for flight, as required.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, diagrams, and technical instructions.
• Operate a variety of standard and specialized hand tools, power equipment, measuring devices, and test equipment.
• Move freely in areas with moving aircraft and parts; handle heavy components and work in areas where exposure to chemicals and fumes will occur.
• Use computer and associated software application packages.

• Experience in aircraft inspection, manufacturing inspection, and aircraft maintenance.
• A&P license and knowledge of avionics systems, installation, and electrical systems.
• Experience in quality control, quality inspection, and quality assurance.
• Four years related experience in aircraft mechanical and electrical quality assurance inspection activities.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Valid experience in the field of aircraft mechanics, electricity, and/or non-destructive testing or approved authorization to test.

Work within helicopter flight line and assembly operations, utilizing advanced technologies and equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
