Job Title: Aircraft Mechanic
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Engineers (AMEs) to join our team, primarily working on Q400 aircraft. You will collaborate with a crew of 5-6 mechanics, focusing mainly on heavy maintenance tasks, with some line checks. Your responsibilities may include engine changes and other necessary work on aircraft. You will work alongside permanent employees, moving from plane to plane in an airside environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform heavy maintenance and line checks on Q400 aircraft.
- Collaborate with a team of 5-6 mechanics in a dynamic environment.
- Execute engine changes and other necessary repairs on aircraft.
- Ensure safety and compliance with aviation standards.
- Use basic hand tools, with specialized tools provided as needed.
Essential Skills
- Transport Canada M2 license or 5+ years of heavy maintenance experience on regional jets (e.g., Q400, Dash Classic).
- Radio License - Aeronautical from Transport Canada.
- Ability to relocate to Calgary or local residency.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Endorsement on a regional aircraft.
- A&P Experience.
- RAIC (Restricted Area Identity Card).
- Customer-facing skills.
- Comfortable with technology.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude and safety-oriented.
- Willingness to work with a diverse workforce.
- Capability to handle high-stress situations.

Work Environment
You will work within a multicultural team of 5-6 members on airport grounds. The work environment includes potential hangar work, with a non-union setup. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes and work pants. Shifts are rotated on a 5,5,4 schedule, with potential for a Monday-Friday setup depending on project needs. Shift hours are from 5 AM to 5 PM or 6 AM to 6 PM, with flexibility for day and night shifts based on skill and experience.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
