Position SummaryDavcor Aviation Services is hiring Entry-Level Aircraft Fuel Systems Technicians to support aircraft fuel tank maintenance, inspection, and repair on commercial aircraft.
This is a hands-on, high-demand aviation role ideal for mechanically inclined individuals looking to break into the aviation industry and build a long-term career.
You will work alongside experienced technicians in an FAA-regulated, safety-sensitive environment, gaining real-world experience in aircraft maintenance operations.
No prior aviation experience required, we train the right candidates.
Important: This role requires working inside aircraft fuel tanks (confined spaces).

Key Responsibilities- Assist with aircraft fuel tank maintenance, inspection, and repair
- Perform fuel tank entry, cleaning, sealing, and component removal/installation
- Use basic hand tools and maintenance equipment to complete assigned tasks
- Follow technical data, work instructions, company manuals, and safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications- Mechanical aptitude with experience using basic hand tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces (required)
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to follow technical data and detailed work instructions
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license
Must successfully pass pre-employment screening, including:
- FAA-mandated drug test
- Background check
Tools: Must provide basic personal hand tools
Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)- Previous aviation, mechanical, industrial, or maintenance experience
- Familiarity with safety-sensitive or regulated work environments
- Interest in long-term career growth within aviation maintenance
Work Environment & Physical RequirementsThis position requires work inside aircraft fuel tanks, which are classified as confined spaces. Technicians must be able to safely enter, work within, and exit fuel tanks through access openings typically ranging from approximately 12–24 inches, performing tasks in areas with limited clearance.
Tasks may require reaching, bending, crawling, and working in restricted spaces for extended periods of time. All work is performed in accordance with OSHA confined-space standards and company safety procedures.
Additional requirements include:
- Perform aircraft maintenance in compliance with company manuals, approved technical data, and federal regulations
- Properly use and maintain tools and equipment
- Complete maintenance records accurately and in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to squat, bend, kneel, climb, crawl, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work from maintenance stands, lifts, and lift trucks
- Ability to work in hangar, ramp, and aircraft environments with exposure to industrial conditions and varying weather
- Ability to read wire diagrams and interpret technical instructions
- Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs
Compensation & Benefits- Hourly Pay: $19–$22
