Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Inspector to join our Quality Department. This role is responsible for the finalization of all work orders, first articles, and customer submittal documentation packages. The Quality Inspector will play a crucial part in verifying products, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, and reporting deviations to supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Verify incoming products to ensure compliance with purchase orders and customer requirements.
• Check part marks for correctness, legibility, and appropriate location.
• Read and interpret engineering specifications, part marks, and configuration requirements.
• Complete and submit First Articles in accordance with customer requirements.
• Ensure work orders are accurately filled out and all quantities are correct.
• Report deviations from specifications and requirements to the supervisor.
• Finish and complete first articles based on AS9102 and customer-specific requirements.
• Familiarize oneself with the use and navigation of Net Inspect.

• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
• Proficiency in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and internet software.
• Detail-oriented for documentation correctness.
• Familiarity with the use and navigation of Net Inspect.

• High school diploma or GED; or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Experience in machined parts inspection and knowledge of blueprints, GD&T, FAIs.
• Experience with CMM and Faro Arm is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment. The role may require occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 30 pounds. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wichita, Kansas.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
