Position Summary
The Interior Installation Technician I, is an entry-levelrole responsible for learning and supporting the installation of VIP aircraftinterior components. Working under close supervision, this position assists ininstalling cabinetry, monuments, sidewalls, and other interior componentsrequired to complete high-end luxury aircraft. This role provides hands-on experience in aircraftcompletions while developing the technical skills required to perform work inaccordance with company procedures and aviation regulatory standards.
Essential Job Functions
Learn how toproperly install fabricated aircraft interiors.
Within 90 daysyou must be able to interpret material specs and engineering drawings to ensureinstalled interiors meet the design spec, quality standards and customerexpectations.
Learn to requestmaterial needs timely to ensure a continuous workflow.
Within 90 daysyou must be able to adhere to all regulatory documentation regarding propersign off, component installation, etc. as well as be able to ensure paperworkis complied with and completed timely in accordance with the Comlux RSQM andother quality standards.
Follow alldepartment safety guidelines and ensure proper usage of tools and equipment.
Basic knowledgeof company installation procedures, process specs, IOPs, etc.
Other duties asassigned but not covered herein.
MinimumQualifications, Education and Experience
HighSchool Diploma or GED required
Technicalor trade school training preferred
Minimum1 year of aircraft interior installation experience, preferably in a corporateaviation or aircraft completions environment
Abilityto read, write, speak, and understand English
Abilityto read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technicaldocumentation
Required Skills andAbilities
Basicunderstanding of aircraft interior installation processes
Willingness tolearn aviation regulatory requirements including FAA documentation andcompliance procedures
Familiarity withcomputers and software used for production documentation
Interest inlearning Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement practices
Strong attentionto detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
Ability tocommunicate clearly and professionally with team members and supervisors
Work Environment
This position isbased in an aircraft hangar environment and may involve:
Exposure tovarying temperatures and weather conditions
Loud noise levels
Use of heavymachinery and specialized tools
Potential contactwith chemicals or hazardous materials
Working inconfined aircraft interior spaces
