What you can expect as an Interior Cabinet Technician:
As an interior cabinet technician, you will be fabricating complex high-quality furniture and other wood-surfaced subassemblies for installation in world class business aircraft. Some of the tasks you may be required to complete include parts replacements or repair, basic electrical system installation and general mechanical applications. Modifications, repair, refurbishment and fabrication of aircraft cabinets are the primary functions.
You will be ESSENTIAL to many FUNCTIONS including:
- Performing general mechanical functions on aircraft cabinets and related systems. This includes items such as removal and installation of cabinets, modification, re-laminating, veneering or fabrication of new cabinets.
- Ability to perform minor modifications
- Perform daily turnover sheets
- Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
- Basic computer skills to be able to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance data bases
- Cleanliness of shop and surroundings
- Work independently when required
- Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
- Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management
Master Tech
- 6+ years’ experience in aviation interiors
- Exclusive knowledge in all areas of the job
- This technician is a subject matter expert with a wide and comprehensive knowledge of the job
