Technical Support Engineer
Location: Broughton (Onsite)
Type: Contract until 03/11/2026 (likely to be extended)
Working Hours: 35 hours per week (4.5 days)

Morson is currently recruiting a Technical Support Engineer on behalf of our aerospace manufacturing client for their Broughton site. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a high-performing production environment, providing critical shopfloor and lineside technical support.
The Role
You will play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations by working closely with production teams on the shopfloor. The position focuses on resolving technical issues, enabling continuous production, and driving operational excellence through process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Shopfloor & Lineside Support

Provide daily/on-shift technical support to production teams

Resolve issues relating to missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, outstanding work, maintenance, jigs, and tools

Identify, analyse, and resolve recurring technical issues beyond operator and First Line Manager capability

Escalate issues to relevant support functions where required
Work Order Management

Manage out-of-cycle work orders

Flag blocked work orders for discussion at appropriate forums

Support prioritisation of serial and rework work orders, particularly those linked to non-conformities or concessions
Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

Support lean manufacturing initiatives and waste elimination

Analyse industrial systems and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Contribute to capacity management and anticipate production fluctuations
Industrial Assets

Support repair requests and creation of small tools

Assist with specifications for new jigs/tools and improvements to existing assets

Support calibration activities
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

Promote EHS standards and ensure compliance on the shopfloor

Support identification and resolution of near misses

Cascade EHS requirements to production teams
Quality & Logistics
Skills & Experience Required

Essential: Manufacturing or lineside experience

Strong knowledge of aircraft production methods and engineering processes (highly desirable)

Extensive experience in a manufacturing environment
