Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer - Mission Assurance to provide support to our Roy, Utah, Sentinel team. This role will assist in definition and monitoring of mission assurance program specifications and processes to ensure program mission success.

What Youll Get To Do:
Review and preliminary program risk assessment and adjudication of GIDEP alerts including incorporation of IWO partner reviews and supplier GIDEP SDRL submittals in partnership with Engineering, Supplier Mission Assurance, Global Supply Chain and Program Management. Support Alert Review Board (ARB) activities, actively manage Sentinel system metrics, and incorporate findings into program CDRL submittals.
Provide leadership and support to ensuring Mission Assurance Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and Supplier Data Requirements List (SDRL) deliverables are prepared and delivered on time.
Additional responsibilities may include assistance to the Segment Quality Managers with all Sentinel Mission Assurance /Program Management requirements.
Assist in the preparation and execution of program Preventive and Corrective Action Board (PCAB) root cause investigations, collection and analysis of Sentinel Program Metrics, and assistance in preparation of Program Management Program Review packages.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Basic Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s in Science Degree and 8 years of experience; or 6 years of experience with a Masters degree; or 4 years of experience with a PhD
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
Experience in developing and implementing Mission Assurance or Quality Assurance plans
Experience in quality management systems to support program processes, audits and improvement
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Top Secret Clearance
Experience in Missile Systems/Sub-Systems design, production or sustainment
Experience in process monitoring, data collection, analysis, and metric reporting for overall program and segments
Lean Six Sigma training/certification
Experience with risk analysis and root cause investigations
Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
