- Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is hiring a Senior Systems Engineer (Level 5) to support the Bombers Sustainment SEIT organization in Oklahoma City, OK.
Position Responsibilities:
Serve as a Lead Systems Engineer for Bombers Sustainment SEIT organization supporting B-52 Sustainment
Apply excellent communication skills, this position will work with many technical and non-technical personnel and will need to be well versed in creating and maintaining good relationships
Support systems and multi-disciplined engineers in defining requirements, developing trade studies, performing analyses, and controlling associated data and information
Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the overarching system and the interrelationships among all positions and activities. This includes assessing the impact of changes in one area on others, recognizing the connections between system components and plans, anticipating future events, and applying system thinking principles to enhance overall performance
Effectively communicate with technical personnel across multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and address issues that impact the design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables
Serve as the engineering focal for proposals and basis of estimate (BOEs).
Lead implementation of program risks, engineering changes, document releases and deliveries
Serve as an engineering focal support customer interaction / conversation in coordination with specialty engineers and program management
Serve as a Technical Lead Engineer for a group of 3-5 engineers
Serve as the engineering focal for various program lifecycle events including TRR, SRR, PDR, CDR, Flight test Readiness Reviews and Modification Readiness Reviews
This position allows some telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim U.S. Top Secret clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Top Secret clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Experience in managing requirements of DoD contracts
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): (any PQs?)
Knowledge of tasking performed throughout engineering development lifecycle (requirements, design, software, test & integration)
3+ years’ experience with requirements development, verification, validation, ICDs, risk, issues and opportunities management and/or trade studies
14+ years of related engineering experience
Possess knowledge and/or experience in various engineering disciplines, such as electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering
Knowledge and/or experience in applying program management best practices
Experience in managing requirements of DoD contracts
Education/experience in 1 or more of the following: Cameo, DOORS, SysML, Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
