Tasks

The key responsibilities and duties of the Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and maintain work instructions and tooling documentation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support projects and production
  • Improve processes and layouts to boost efficiency and meet OEM standards
  • Identify waste and support continuous improvement
  • Assist with workflow optimization and project tasks
  • Investigate non-conformities and recommend fixes
  • Analyze production data and report insights
  • Track KPIs to enhance performance
  • Coordinate equipment maintenance
  • Support problem-solving and daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental policies
  • Manage tooling data in SAP
  • Conduct studies to identify and resolve inefficiencies

Requirements

The ideal Candidate should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum HND in Mechanical Engineering with CAD experience
  • Higher qualification considered with interest in tool design
  • Training in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or SPC is a plus
  • Experience creating manufacturing instructions and tooling documentation
  • Skilled in reading engineering drawings and basic metrology
  • Strong understanding of mechanical manufacturing processes
  • Background in aerospace metal processing and surface finishing
  • Proficient in MRP/ERP systems, MS Office, and CAD (SolidWorks preferred)
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with data analysis, automation, and process optimization
  • Team player with a proactive, innovative, and goal-driven mindset
  • Flexible hours including shifts, weekends, or travel as needed
