As a Field Service Technician I, you will leverage your expertise to perform a range of maintenance and technical support tasks on our products, including equipment, integrated systems, subsystems, and software, at customer or field locations. Your responsibilities will include onsite troubleshooting, rigorous testing, software updates, and Safety Integrity Level (SIL) verification and testing. You will also be involved in installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying our products, as well as updating and tracking the status of all field-related equipment. Additionally, you will cultivate and maintain effective relationships with our customers and provide onsite training.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains – air, land, sea, space and cyber.
Qualifications You Must Have:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Exposure to technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publications
- Familiarity with troubleshooting techniques
- Basic understanding of electrical wiring concepts
- Familiar with Linux operating system and commands
- Prior experience with Security+, Network+, CCNA and/or A+
- Ability to frequently travel outside the continental US, typically for extended periods of time
Qualifications We Prefer:
- Associates degree in a related field of study
- Basic understanding of Network analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, Oscilloscope, and advanced troubleshooting
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
