This position is ideal for candidates with formal military metrology training (PMEL/TMDE), commercial calibration experience, and individuals who thrive in lean, fast‑moving environments.

  • Potential opportunity to support production floor calibrations after initial onboarding and training.
  • Assist Metrology Engineering with process refinement, troubleshooting, and metrology best practices.
  • Provide support to IMTE end users on proper measurement techniques and equipment handling.
  • Maintain compliance with SpaceX Quality Management System, ISO 9001, AS9100D, and ISO/IEC 17025 (soft requirement, strongly preferred).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in metrology, calibration, inspection, or dimensional measurement.

PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Formal U.S. military metrology training (Air Force PMEL, Navy Calibration, TMDE, etc.) – highly preferred.
  • 4+ years of professional calibration or metrology experience.
  • Experience in accredited ISO/IEC 17025 laboratories (commercial or defense).

    • National Instruments equipment
    • NI Cal Exec
    • MetCal (especially building procedures)
    • IndySoft or other Metrology Information Systems

  • Strong mechanical aptitude; experience with IMTE used on aerospace/production lines.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • ASQ Certified Calibration Technician (CCT) preferred but not required.
  • Comfortable working in clean, organized labs; note: this is not a semiconductor-style cleanroom.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • One of the cleanest areas in facility, but not a strict cleanroom.
  • Some work may occur in clean or “annie-room‑style” controlled areas as operations expand.
  • Fast‑paced, hands‑on, highly collaborative environment.
