Responsibilities
Responsibilities
The Master Scheduler is responsible for assisting in the analysis, development, co-ordination and communication of all changes to Master Production Schedules initiated by the customer or by internal production requirements.
• Development and coordination of Master Production Schedules, responding to both customer demands and internal production needs.
• Continuously evaluate and refine our base assembly network to ensure optimal scheduling efficiency.
• Creation of production schedules for existing and new aerospace programmes.
• Coordinate Rate Readiness Reviews, assess schedule feasibility and present recommendations to the Finance Committee, enabling informed decisions at the highest levels of the business.
• Maintain high data accuracy across systems including CLASS, FATS, EIS, and MRP.
• Produce weekly and monthly delivery and performance reports, incorporating overheads, sickness, overtime, and performance to EAC against budget.
• Support senior management with real-time cost tracking and work-in-progress updates.
• Coordinate contract lead time reduction initiatives and continuous cycle time reviews.
• Represent the department in governance reviews related to deliveries, order changes, and demand planning.
• Determine manpower requirements and communicate implications to Planning, Operations, and Finance.
• Facilitate and prioritise departmental projects including afterspanet, labour, and budgeting.
• Create Inspection Build-logs for both Methods and Operations.
Qualifications
Qualifications
HND or equivalent in a technical/business subject plus 3 years’ experience in material planning/Scheduling experience.
OR lesser qualifications with 5 years in material planning/Scheduling experience.
AND
High degree of computer literacy, capable operating mainframe and Microsoft based systems (word, excel, power point)
Desirable
Relevant CPIM modules obtained. (Supply chain strategy, demand management, forecasting, S&OP, master planning, MRP, capacity planning, inventory management, quality and lean, risk management and technology-enabled integration across the planning cycle.)
The jobholder may be required to travel according to business needs.
