Data Analyst
Location: Wolverhampton
Contract Length: 6 Months
Pay Rate: 15–17 per hour (DOE)

Morson Talent is recruiting on behalf of Safran Actuation Systems, a global leader in aerospace systems and equipment. We are seeking a Data Analyst to support customs and trade-related data activities within a fast-paced aerospace environment based in Wolverhampton.

This role is ideal for a detail-driven individual with strong Excel and data interpretation skills, who enjoys working with complex datasets and collaborating across departments.

• Inputting and maintaining data across company systems, spreadsheets, and databases

• Cross-checking and validating data to ensure accuracy, quality, and conformity

• Interrogating internal systems to extract and analyse information

• Issuing customs clearance instructions for imported goods

• Maintaining and manipulating spreadsheets as part of ongoing data processing routines

• Liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders, including freight forwarding agents

• Supporting the Customs team in developing and improving import and export processes

• Escalating issues through Global Trade leadership where required

• Strong experience using Microsoft Excel, including:

  • VLOOKUPs

  • Formulas

  • Pivot tables

• Good English and Maths skills

• Ability to interpret, analyse, and validate data

• Strong IT skills, with experience using Excel and/or Access

• Organised, methodical, and highly attentive to detail

• Able to analyse information and make decisions based on set parameters

• Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal

• Import or export customs experience (full training will be provided)

• Experience in an aerospace or regulated environment
