Purpose
The Business Analyst – Revenue & Process Strategy is responsible for analyzing financial performance, operational processes, and revenue streams to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role focuses on improving revenue visibility, identifying operational efficiencies, and developing analytical insights that enhance business performance. The Business Analyst partners with finance, operations, commercial teams, and leadership to evaluate processes, monitor key metrics, and recommend improvements that support strategic and operational goals.
Essential Job Functions
- Analyze revenue streams, pricing structures, and financial performance to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain revenue models, forecasts, and financial performance dashboards.
- Evaluate operational processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with finance and operations teams to improve data accuracy and reporting capabilities.
- Support the development of KPIs and performance metrics that align with organizational objectives.
- Conduct data analysis to support strategic initiatives, operational planning, and executive decision-making.
- Prepare analytical reports, business cases, and presentations for leadership.
- Monitor program or project profitability and identify areas for cost optimization or revenue growth.
- Assist in developing standardized reporting tools and automated dashboards.
- Partner with IT and data teams to improve data integration, system reporting, and analytics capabilities.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes with analytical insights.
- Identify opportunities for process automation, workflow improvements, and operational efficiencies.
- Assist in evaluating the financial impact of business initiatives, pricing strategies, or operational changes.
Minimum Qualifications or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, or related field required.
- 3–6 years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, operations analysis, or related roles.
- Strong experience working with data analysis, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
Preferred Qualifications or Experience
- Experience in aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or operational environments.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, or similar platforms.
- Experience building dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting software.
- Knowledge of revenue analysis, pricing strategies, and operational process improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives or transformation projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not typically have direct supervisory responsibilities but may support cross-functional project teams and provide analytical guidance to operational leaders.
